Resource / Informational Tabling Policy

This policy applies to tabling events not sponsored by the Caroline County Public Library.

The Caroline County Public Library (CCPL) provides designated tabling space to nonprofit and government organizations for educational and informational purposes that align with the Library’s mission.

Eligibility for Tabling Use
  • Tabling is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Due to high demand, not all requests can be accommodated. A confirmation email will be sent if your request is approved.
  • Proposals are evaluated based on:
    • Relevance to the community
    • Library staffing capacity
    • Alignment with CCPL goals
General Guidelines
  • A tabling application must be submitted by an adult (18 or older) representing a nonprofit or government organization.
  • Tabling may not be used to:
    • Fundraise
    • Sell products
    • Charge admission
    • Recruit or solicit services
  • Marketing Support: CCPL does not provide promotional support for tabling events.
  • Reservations may be made up to three (3) months in advance.
  • A maximum of six (6) active reservations per organization or individual is allowed at any time.
  • All users must adhere to the Library’s Tabling Responsibilities and Code of Conduct.
Accessibility
  • All Library facilities and restrooms are ADA compliant.

Availability

Tabling times exclude holidays. Setup and cleanup times are not included in the times below.

  • Tuesdays: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
  • Wednesdays: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM or 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
  • Thursdays: 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM
  • Fridays: 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Note: Please allow an additional 15 minutes before and after each session for setup and cleanup.

Library management reserves the right to adjust booking times as needed

Resource Tabling Location
  • Location: Central Library (100 Market Street, Denton)

  • Designated Area: Café area (one table and one chair provided)

  • Note: Resource tabling is not available at the Federalsburg or Greensboro branches.

  • Public Wi-Fi is available at all Library locations.

Scheduling and Cancellations
  • Library programs and events take priority over tabling reservations.
  • The Library reserves the right to:
    • Limit the frequency of use to ensure equitable access
    • Change or cancel reservations due to programming needs, renovations, closures, or emergencies
  • In such cases, staff will attempt to provide advance notice and offer alternative options.
  • Cancellations: Must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to cancel may result in limited access to future bookings.
Use Guidelines
  • The individual tabling must check in at a public service desk upon arrival.

  • Activities must remain within the reserved time and space.

  • Noise levels must remain appropriate for the library environment.

  • Materials and activities must stay within the designated tabling area; use of hallways or other areas is not permitted.

  • Setup and takedown are the responsibility of the user.

  • Nothing may be affixed to walls, ceilings, or any other library surfaces.

  • The area must be left clean and tidy. Trash must be properly disposed of.

Policy Violations

Failure to comply with any part of this policy may result in suspension or loss of tabling privileges.
