We are so close to being able to reopen the first floor of the Central Library that our staff is practically buzzing with excitement. We’ve spent the past month getting our new furniture delivered, assembled and put into place and while we may be a little biased, we think that the finished product looks pretty darn amazing! But don’t take our word for it, you can take a sneak peek at our new 1st floor thanks to our handy dandy slideshow.
While the renovation is 99% complete, there are a handful of things that need to be taken care of before we can safely reopen the first floor to the public. The biggest piece of the renovation that still needs to be completed is the installation of a completely new security camera system. We have a scheduled project date for this and we are all keeping our fingers crossed that there are no hiccups during this process.

We know you are excited to get back downstairs and so are we! while we do not have a firm date yet we are hoping to reopen the first floor of the Central Library sometime in mid-December. We will likely need to close our mini-library on the second floor for a day to move everything back downstairs, but once that happens there’s going to be nothing holding us back! Keep checking our website and social media for additional updates and just know that an end is in sight!
