CCPL’s 2025 Summer Reading Program kicks off on June 9th and continues through August 2nd at all 3 library locations. The theme this year is Color Our World and embraces art and creativity. Summer reading is open to all ages! The program continues through August 2nd.
The Library has prepared 8 weeks of creative, educational, and fun events for kids of all ages. Play our Color Bingo game! Color Bingo encourages kids to read and do activities to mark a space on the bingo card. Completing five spaces in a row is a Color Bingo! Kids will receive a book and prize for each bingo redeemed (maximum of 8 per child).
The first step on your summer reading journey starts at your local library! Come to any branch of the library to pick up your Color Bingo card and Color Our World tote for kids and adult summer reading tickets. Check out CCPL’s events calendar to view and register for programs.

Note: Based on the feedback we have received over the past few years, CCPL will not be using Beanstack for the summer reading program this year. Please stop by any branch to pick up your materials.
What’s summer reading without prizes!? As in years past, kids will earn entries into our grand prize drawings for playing the summer reading game. Color Bingo participants will receive an entry into the grand prize drawing for each bingo redeemed.
We have an awesome slate of summer reading programs and activities this year with a focus on programs designed to inspire and engage readers of all ages through a diverse array of artistic expressions. From watercolor painting and pet portraits to the ever-popular Reptile Wonders, we have something for everyone!

Summer reading is for all ages! The Caroline County Public Library is offering an adult summer reading challenge from June 9 to August 2. This is a wonderful opportunity to focus your attention on books that inspire you! Track your reading by turning in a ticket for each book you read. Book giveaways will be offered throughout the summer as you turn in tickets, with prizes for top readers at the end of the summer session. We invite you to stop by a Caroline County Public Library branch and start reading today!
